Sand Toy Station
Coming soon to San Clemente!
The San Clemente Junior Woman's Club is excited to introduce the Sand Toy Station, a new community resource designed to make beach play more accessible for families while helping reduce plastic waste and keep our beaches clean.
The station will officially be installed on June 24, 2026 at 10 am near the San Clemente Pier, in the sand near the public showers, just north of Fisherman's Restaurant.
Community members, families, and supporters are invited to stop by and see the station's first official use.
How it works.
The Sand Toy Station is a shared collection of beach toys available for families to use during their beach visit.
Using the station is simple:
🪣 Borrow
🏖️ Play
🚿 Rinse
🔄 Return
By encouraging sharing and reuse, the station helps reduce waste and ensures beach toys can be enjoyed by many families throughout the year.
Why it matters.
Every year, beach toys are purchased, forgotten, broken, or left behind on our beaches.
The Sand Toy Station helps:
-
Reduce plastic waste
-
Encourage reuse and sharing
-
Keep our beaches cleaner
-
Promote environmental stewardship
-
Create a more welcoming beach experience for families
This simple idea can make a meaningful impact on our coastline and community.
