Our volunteer hours are only part of the story.  The SCJWC spearheads projects to help our community, such as Project Angel Tree, student scholarships, and local drives to help military as well as children, families and seniors in need.  We also look for under funded projects and programs in the community and offer them a boost in their funding so they can continue to make a difference.

We raise funds through several different means.  Our annual "Big Event" fundraising gala is where we raise most of our funding.  We were able to raise over $50,000 in 2018 and surpassed our 2019 goal of $60,000 with over $100,000 raised!

Since 1948, the San Clemente Junior Woman's Club has been giving back through volunteerism and financial support to it's community.  The SCJWC turned 71 years old in 2019!  To celebrate this milestone, the community put on their fanciest hats and headed  to the races to bid the night away at the 2019 Derby Days Charity Gala on March 23, 2019 at the lovely Bella Collina Towne & Club.  200 guests joined us for a wonderful evening with an online silent auction and raffle as well as a LIVE auction, entertainment and 3 course meal.  Over $100,000 was raised to benefit the philanthropic needs of our beautiful San Clemente community.

In addition to raising funds for SCJWC programs that help the community, we choose a local organization to fund during our live auction.  The SCJWC selected CHOC Children’s of Orange County Neuroscience Institute for this year's fund in need. CHOC Children’s is different than most hospitals; they believe in the healing power of play. For 50 years CHOC Children’s has stood as a distinguished non-profit children’s hospital, committed to providing the highest quality medical care to all children, no matter what the family’s financial capacity. SCJWC helped raise $53,000 to help remodel their playroom for the Neuroscience Inpatient Unit that will allow all children to experience the "Joys of Being a Child” while they are hospitalized, sometimes for weeks at a time. Funds will also provide mobile equipment that allows children who would normally not be able to go to the playroom to now enjoy the space.  We recently found out they received full funding to complete this entire project and have begun working on it.  We cannot wait to see CHOC’s innovative playroom.

We would like to thank our generous 2019 sponsors and donors who made this event possible.

Other Fundraising

The SCJWC finds other fun ways to raise money for our community throughout the year.  In 2018 we held a Gorjana Jewelry event, dine out nights at BallPark Pizza, and a Kendra Scott Jewelry event to name a few.  These events are open to the public, so please check out calendar for upcoming events.
