On Sunday April 30, 2023 we will be hosting our 75th Anniversary party and annual community fundraiser at the Gray Matter Museum of Art in San Clemente from 4-8pm.  This event will mark our 75th year supporting San Clemente and the surrounding community. The event will provide an opportunity to honor our history and provide an evening of fun for friends with a passion for volunteerism to come together. We are inviting all past club presidents to be honored as we remember the many club accomplishments over the decades.  Tickets are on sale now until the afternoon of April 29th. This will be a night to remember, we anticipate about 100 people in attendance from the local community.

A variety of fundraising activities will be available with opportunities to support the SCJWC and community throughout the event. Such as a silent auction, a few vendors selling luxury items, and a direct donation campaign to help our chosen Fund-In-Need.

The Schlipp Family

The San Clemente Junior Woman’s Club would like to announce it’s 2023 Fund-In-Need recipient, The Schlipp Family.

The Schlipps have been part of the San Clemente Community for many years through Maelynn Schlipp’s work at Tyke Time, a unique cooperative play place for young children she started at St. Andrew’s by the Sea. The Schlipp family now needs your support.

As many of you know, their 6-year old daughter Esme was finally given the diagnosis with Type A Sanfilippo Syndrome a year ago. Sanfilippo Syndrome is a rare neurodegenerative rare disease, for which there is no cure.

The doctors and her family believed that they had many more years with Esme left on this earth. But on Saturday April 22nd at 8:24pm she unexpectedly passed away peacefully at home in her family’s arms.

Since before the diagnosis, Maelynn and her family have done their best to handle all of Esme's care themselves, and even after applying for assistance from the state, they are not able to cover everything on their own anymore. The Schlipp family and Esme’s brother Sam, will need our help and any amount will make a difference. The stress of medical bills, and funeral costs, should be the last thing on their minds. Please help us support this family and allow them to focus on their family at this time.

You can make donations through Venmo @SCJWC, on our website (SCJWC.org), by sending a check (PO BOX 4274, SC, 92674) or by clicking here. Please put “Esme” in the memo line of all transactions so your donation can be directed towards the Schlipp Family.

We will continue raising funds until a month after our Diamond Anniversary Gala on April 30, 2023. Where we will be  celebrating the 75 years the San Clemente Junior Woman’s Club has tirelessly supported our community and the surrounding areas.

Thank you in advance for your help, it means a lot and we cannot express our gratitude enough.

We would like to thank our generous 2023 sponsors and donors who have helped make this event possible.  To support our 75th Anniversary & Fundraiser, email president@scwjc.org
